Student residences run to the rhythm of the academic year. Every September brings a new cohort, a surge of online orders and students arriving from dozens of countries, all expecting the same thing: their parcels, when they want them. Lumis students already manage their residence life through the Lumis app. The goal was clear: make parcel collection part of that same experience in Cardiff and Leicester, with no extra apps or sign-ups for students, and no added pressure on lean on-site teams during the busiest weeks of the year.

Smart Point integrated its Smart Lockers directly with the Lumis app across both buildings. Students are registered automatically when they join the Lumis app, and every parcel notification arrives in the app they already use. Couriers get a fast, contactless drop-off and students collect 24/7. Site teams manage both locations from a single dashboard, with full visibility of activity in each building.
